Delightful Green Smoothie

 

Savor this immune boosting smoothie packed with iron and vitamin K for cell production.

 

1 cup of orange juice (not from concentrate)

1 cup fresh spinach

½ small cucumber, peeled

½ cup frozen mango pieces

1 banana

2 Tablespoons of golden flax seeds

 

Step 1:

Put ingredients in blender and add 1 cup of water, then blend on high for 1 minute.

Step 2:

Pour into glasses and serve immediately, or store in refrigerater covered with a lid.

 

Using golden flax seed instead of brown lends a milder flavor. If you like the nutty taste of brown flax seed, then use that instead. Adding 1 apple, unpeeled, adds fiber and vitamins. Play around and try changing up the recipe with different vegetables and fruits. However, stay with green and yellow. If you add red fruits like strawberries the green drink will turn brown in color and also affect flavor.
